FI Card 2011 was created with Microsoft Access 2010 and will run on any computer which has MS Office Professional 2010 installed on it.

If the computer your using to run this software does not have Office 2010 on it, A copy of the Microsoft Runtime Program is included in the installation file. Once this runtime software is downloaded and run on the computer in question, The FI Card software will run each time the link is double clicked on or if you create a desktop short cut it is clicked on.

The instruction to get this program up and running  on a single computer is as follows:

1. Download the installation program by clicking on Here. Download MakeFI.EXE

2. Download to a location that you will remember such as your Windows Download directory.

3. Once downloaded double click on the MakeFI.exe to install it on your computer.

4. During the install process MakeFI will create a directory on your computer called agrusfi (c:\argusfi)

5. Inside this directory another directory will be created called images.    (c:\argusfi\images)

6. The FI card database will be copied to the 1st directory along with a copy of the MS runtime file, and all sample images will be copied to the images directory.

7. Once the install program finishes the process, Quit the install program and use Windows Explorer to go to the c:\argusfi directory.

8. If you need to run the MS Runtime file do it now by double clicking on the AccessRuntime.exe file. It may take several minutes for this file to complete the runtime setup. Once finished exit the runtime installer. This is the last time you have to run this file on this computer but the file should be kept to run on other computers.

9. Double click on the FI Card. file to start your ArgusFI database.

Note: If the ArgusFI database does not start this if is probably because you do not have MS Office 2010 on your computer or you have an older version of MS Access on it. Simply double click on the MS Runtime installer. Then try to double click on the ArgusFI database again.

You should now have a working copy of the AgrusFI database on your one local computer. Use the database, try it out and check out all the features. Every screen in the database has a help file to guide you in learning the program.

The networking is a simple process which should only take a few minutes to complete.

1. Decide which computer on your network you want to use to host the database files.

2. Using Windows Explorer go to the c:\ directory of the computer containing the c:\argusfi directory and copy the complete directory.

3. While still using Windows Explorer the click on your Network and click on the computer that you want to host the database.

4. When you click on the computer you want to use click on it and it should show you the contents of that computer.

5. Look for the Shared directory and click on this directory, when it opens simply paste a copy of your c:\argusfi directory to the shared directory on the Network computer. The shared directory could be called SharedDocs, Users or Public depending on the version of Windows that you are using.

6. Shortcut links can be made on the desktop of each computer that you would like run the database on.

Note: A copy of the MS Runtime program must be run once on each computer that you want to run the database on that does not have a full copy of MS Office 2010 Professional loaded on it.
